Babies Proms: Music Book 2010 Media Release: Tuesday 27 July, 2010 21 - 29 August 2010, The Studio The ever-popular Babies Proms series continues at the Sydney Opera House with the return of the annual Music Book season from August 21 – 29 in The Studio. Coinciding with Children's Book Week, the Babies Proms Orchestra will perform with a guest narrator while much-loved children's stories are illustrated on the screen. Stories include Aaron Blabey's Stanley Paste, Nick Bland's The Wrong Book and Donald Loves Drumming, Jane Godwin and Anna Walkers Little Cat and the Big Red Bus, Claire McFadden's The Flying Orchestra and Kerry Browns Can I Cuddle the Moon. Music Book introduces children aged 2 to 5 to the joys of live music coupled with their favourite stories. The 11-piece Babies Proms orchestra will be led by music director George Ellis. Ellis has conducted some of Australia's best symphony orchestras, choirs, opera and musical theatre productions, as well as film scores.
